Deltabis 2018 Company Trip
November 07, 2018
First of all, congratulations to this bunch for working their asses off since day 1 of Deltabis. Without all of their effort and hardwork, there wouldn't be a company trip in 2018. The first ever Deltabis Company Trip to Rawang started off with a breakfast of delicious dimsum-s before heading north to Rawang. The first stop of the day was Hutan Lipur Kanching which was a stone's throw away from our Airbnb homestay. By the way, I heard a lot about the Rawang Bypass which has a scenic view of the Kanching trees and finally I get to see them during this short weekend trip!
After digesting all of our dimsum-s from all the walking and climbing at Hutan Lipur Kanching, we checked-in to this spacious 3-storey bungalow that we were going to stay for the night. The first thing we did was a game of UNO to determine the members of two groups for another session of games during dinner.
At the end of the UNO game, everyone was split into two different groups and with that, everyone started preparing for dinner and thank goodness these boys were helping throughout the preparation, even some taking the helm as the main preparatory person while we girls just did all the smaller tasks.
The cooking of our dinner started as soon as we were done in the kitchen. We had skewers, marinated Pork of various flavours, beers, cheese, honey, and the best company in the world! Many thanks to all the boys for cooking and making sure everyone had food, seriously, all we girls did was just eat, eat, eat, and eat.
Halfway through, we decided to slot in our very own version of beer pong. Check out the two teams who competed against each other and the ugly/funny/you-name-it faces I captured on film. Who won? MY TEAM 😍😍😍
Right after our check-out the very next day, we went on a road trip and stumbled upon this lovely lotus pond before continuing our journey to Sarang By The Brook, a container hotel concept space. After discovering that there wasn't much to do there, we headed to the nearest town of Kuala Kubu Bahru for some snacks and refreshment. I love how the little town still has its own charm and looks really great on film!
The best thing about road trips is that you just stop by random places and venture into an unknown area without any expectations. Here are the boys being very adventurous after an earlier encounter with a snake right in front of our car.
With the satisfaction of driving through roads not taken and climbing up random hills, we headed back to KL. It was such a tiring weekend honestly, but I had loads of fun with everyone. I bet everyone had a great time too, as seen in the photos. When there is a first time, there will always be a second. Can't wait to see where will the company trip be in 2019!
xx.
