Good Vibes Festival 2019 On Film
July 25, 2019
I really enjoy bringing my film cameras to outdoor events, especially my manual SLR film cameras with defunct light meters. I've got this weird liking for taking night shots on my SLRs without a light meter and a flash and then wait and see if I did it right with the settings based on the photos that come out after that. So for this time around at the Good Vibes Festival, I brought along a point-and-shoot (this one can never go wrong) and the Canon AE-1, both equipped with Agfa Vista 200 rolls.
My Spotmatic usually follows me around so bringing the Canon AE-1 instead this time had me feeling slightly insecure on how my photos would turn out. Fortunately, I loved every shot, no matter if it was out-of-focus, blurred, or totally nonsense.
So I've picked some of my favourite film photos from both rolls shot on the Canon SXL and Canon AE-1 and placed it chronologically to sum up my Good Vibes Festival. Don't mind my imperfect photos and spot Joji, Jess Connelly, and some strange shot of Stranger Things!
