Monthly Journal: January 2019
January 31, 2019
January was a busy, busy month with almost something happening every week. Also, I started the year with a fresh journal, one that has printed lines unlike the previous monthly journal which I had to draw all the lines myself. Not only that, I have lessen the intensity of filling up every single space there is in the two pages by opting for a much more simple layout. I'm not too sure if I can keep this layout for the rest of the year but we'll see. In the mean time, here are some of the fun happenings in January:
6 January
Homemade pizzas and salad with the help of my nephew and niece! Always love family dinner on Sundays, especially when it's at home because I'm always lazy to be out on the day before Monday.
12 January
Satur-date with Abang at Naj & Belle Bangsar for our anniversary. Simple lunch with delicious food. Don't miss out on the Watermelon Strawberry Cake if you are here because it's AMAZING.
13 January
Another Sunday at home with roasted duck and charsiew from BBQ Kong Meng at Taman Maju Jaya. Yes, that spaghetti was cooked ala Chinese style so we had a fusion feast for the evening. By the way, the roasted duck and charsiew was seriously good and I'm definitely going to go back there again.
19 January
Work did not slow down since forever and with an event in the first month of 2019, it made January much more busier. I think Shahril's face (second photo below) explains my feelings while accomplishing this event with my colleagues. Anyway, I really love how my Canon Autoboy SXL's flash accentuated the reflective aspect of the windbreakers. Also, Lil Gram and Kid Raw in photo 6.
25-26 January
On my actual birthday, I spent some time alone running errands. I wanted to enjoy the first day of being 26 with myself and it was the best ever. The next day was a celebration with Abang at Brixton KL for dinner. Read the full story of my birthday weekend HERE.
January started and ended with a blink of an eye. As I am typing this, Chinese New Year is a few days away and it's as though I have not stopped to take a breather and might pass out anytime soon. Can the days come by slowly please? I've just turned 26 and in this rate, I would be 27 very soon. But like they say, the days go by a little faster every year and I'm feeling it already. Bye-bye January, hello February!
xoxo,
R
